Drawings

Throughout 2011, I asked the residents of Chevilly-Larue to bring me things they own so I could draw them. In the absence of clear instructions, the objects run from the banal to the very odd. Another partner in the project, L’Oréal Research and Innovation, allowed me to draw in its laboratories, where access is strictly limited. Finally, I drew tools used by the firemen at Rungis fire station. All these objects are veiled evocations of the suburb’s private life.

Serving as raw material for a series of posters, a selection of these drawings has been compiled into booklets that can be downloaded.
